The Imitation Game, the Oscar-nominated biopic of gay hero Alan Turing, is set to become 2014’s top-grossing indie hit. The film, which has earned Benedict Cumberbatch an Oscar nod as best actor, has made more than $52 million so far.
New Kids on the Block’s Jonathan Knight is a little nervous about participating on The Amazing Race with boyfriend Harley Rodriguez. He told People magazine, “This is probably going to be the most time that we’ve been together continually. I don’t know if I am looking forward to that much time together with him. It’s going to be interesting.”

Jennifer Lopez returns to the big screen in The Boy Next Door this weekend and the film has the makings of a Showgirls-style instant camp classic. Slant‘s critic describes it as “a Lifetime movie embarrassed to have found its way to theaters.” J.Lo’s co-star (and rumored real-life bf) Ryan Guzman sure is cute, though, so we’ll be there opening night.
John Cameron Mitchell has opened in the Broadway revival of Hedwig and the Angry Inch in the role he created in the original 1998 off-Broadway production and reprised in the dazzling 2001 film version. It looks as if time has stood still for the 51-year-old performer.
