Italian Melania-dresser Stefano Gabbana never fails to stay off the Internet’s sh*t list for long, whether he’s proudly asserting his masculinity to the point of not wanting to be referred to as ‘gay’, or denigrating same-sex parents.
So what’s the rabble-rouser decided to latch his sail to this time? A toxic masculinity classic — calling a woman ugly for absolutely no reason.
The remark was thoughtlessly lobbed at Selena Gomez, of all people, on an Instagram post.
@thecatwalkitalia shared five red dress looks that Selena had been photographed in, asking people to choose their favorite.
Stefano took a different route, writing in the comments: “è proprio brutta,” or, “she’s so ugly.”
Fans with common human decency quickly fired back.
Among them, out 13 Reasons Why actor Tommy Dorfman wrote:
“@stefanobabbana you’re tired and over. your homophobic, misogynistic, body-shaming existence will not thrive in 2018. it is no longer tolerable or chic. please take many seats.”
“We don’t care about your lame ass brand,” another commenter wrote, “look in the mirror you are ugly both interior and exterior,” and “shame on you for online bullying.”
